What is a Play Chest® Party Experience?
Play Chest® create amazing Party Experiences that includes all the ingredients to throw an amazing party. Our Party Experiences includes games, prizes, tableware, decorations, music, invitations, certificates and more. We don’t just supply you with the basic equipment but rather provide an experience that’s carefully thought out for maximum enjoyment. Each Party Experience has clear instructions on how to setup, run and pack away your party. Play Chest® also provides flexibility, your party is delivered prior your special day so you can start and end the party when it suits you and your guests.
How soon can I receive my Party Experience?
Our Party Experiences are delivered on a Thursday and collected on the following Monday.
Must my Party Experience be delivered and collected on the set days?
We have found these days work the best to ensure that your Party Experience is delivered in plenty of time for your weekend party. If you have any special delivery requests then please don’t hesitate to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
What time will my Party Experience be delivered and collected?
We use a DPD premium service for both delivery and collection. Your Party Experience will be delivered before 12pm on your chosen Thursday (delivery before 5pm for some parts of Scotland), with a one hour delivery time slot provided on the morning. Your Party Experience will be collected between 9am-5pm on the following Monday. If DPD have not provided a collection time slot by 10am then please contact us on 01253 462628.
Can I change my Party Experience delivery date or return collection date with DPD?
We provide DPD your contact details so they can provide you with a delivery time slot. They may send you communications regarding the option to change your delivery or return collection date. It is important that these dates are not changed without first consulting our team.
Can I drop the Party Experience off at a local DPD depot?
We can arrange for you to drop your Party Experience off at your local depot instead of it being collected. You must provide this request before your Party Experience is delivered to you by calling our team on 01253 462628. You can find your nearest DPD depot by visiting http://www.dpdlocal.co.uk/apps/depotfinder/. Please note depot opening times and distance.
How often are your party packages cleaned?
Upon return all Party Experiences are sanitised and safety checked.
What if we loose a piece?
We appreciate that an odd piece can go astray. We do not charge for a few missing LEGO® pieces; however, a charge may apply if a more expensive piece goes missing such as the Target Golf Putting Mat from the Funfair Party or the Playstation console from the Retro Games Arcade Party.
What if we find a piece after our party package has been returned?
If you do find any pieces after your party then please email us at email@example.com to arrange a return.
Can I choose my Party Experience game prizes?
If your Party Experience includes game prizes then you'll receive a link around 6 weeks prior delivery date to choose your prizes.
Do I require an entertainer for a Play Chest® Party Experience?
Play Chest® Party Experiences have been created by experienced entertainers. Our Party Experiences have been created so they’re easy to setup and host. If your party package includes games then you’ll receive instructions on how to play these.
We have more children attending than what your Party Experience caters for. Can you provide a discount for multiple Party Experiences?
How can I secure a Party Experience?
All bookings can be secured on our website and must be paid in full at time of booking. We recommend you book your party as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
Can I pay a deposit?
You can pay a 50% deposit or the full amount when booking a Play Chest® Party Experience that's over £60. Your delivery date must not be within 6 weeks from the date of booking to qualify for a deposit payment. If you opt to pay 50% then the remaining balance must be paid 6 weeks prior your delivery date. Play Chest® will not ship any party invitations or allow you to select game prizes until full payment has been made.
Do you supply to nurseries, schools and clubs?
We can supply to nurseries, schools and clubs at a discount. We are not VAT registered which helps keep costs down. We're fully insured for public and product liability. Please contact us on 01253 462628 or email us your specific requirements to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Can I purchase partyware without booking a Party Experience?
You may purchase partyware without booking a Play Chest® Party Experience.
Can I see the partyware before I buy?
All products are displayed as accurately as possible on our website.
Is there a delivery charge?
We charge £3.99 for delivery on orders under £40.
How quickly will I receive my order?
All partyware orders are shipped 1st Class via Royal Mail. Orders are usually with our customers on the next working day.
Can I make changes to my order?
Our team usually packages your order within a couple of hours. Please send any requests to email@example.com and we shall let you know if this is possible.
I wish to add partyware to my Play Chest® Party Experience, when should I expect delivery?
All additional partyware ordered will be included within your Play Chest® Party Experience and delivered on your chosen Party Experience delivery date.
Who are Sponge Cakes LTD?
Sponge Cakes Ltd are an online cake company specialising in sponge cakes. Sponge Cakes Ltd make the finest, tastiest sponge cakes using locally sourced ingredients that have won them many awards.
How is cake delivered?
Sponge Cakes Ltd have created bespoke packaging that keeps all cakes safe during transit. They are delivered using a premium delivery service.
Is there a delivery charge?
We charge £3.99 for delivery on orders under £40.
Can you provide a gluten free sponge?
Yes, please send us an email request after ordering to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Are your designs exclusive to Play Chest?
Professional designers have created exclusive designs only sold by Play Chest®.
How does it work?
Play Chest® acts as an Agent for Face Painters across the UK. You can view all our registered Face Painters on our website. Once you have found a Face Painter then select your preferred date and time and add to cart. A small fee is payable when requesting a booking and the remaining balance is payable on your chosen date. We shall contact the Face Painter to confirm your date and send you a booking confirmation. If, for whatever reason your Face Painter is not available on your chosen date then we shall provide a full refund of your initial fee.
Are your Face Painters Insured?
We make sure all Face Painters have Public Liability Insurance. Play Chest are also insured to act as an Agent.
What method of payment will the Face Painter accept on the day?
When paid on the day, the Face Painter may be paid in cash. The Face Painter may accept other forms of payment on prior request.
Have your Face Painters been DBS checked?
Professional Face Painters are not required to have checks from the Disclosure and Barring Service (Formerly known as the Criminal Records Bureau). They advise that this is because Face Painters should not be with unaccompanied children. Face Painters do not fall within the 'eligible positions' required to have these checks. Any Face Painter advertising a DBS Certificate may of obtained this for another role.
